Questions about our filtered water systems?
Understanding Your Needs
-
Signs that your water may need filtering include unusual taste or odour, visible particles or sediment, staining of sinks or laundry, and concerns based on local water reports.
-
Home water quality testing kits can measure pH levels, hardness, and specific contaminants. For a comprehensive analysis, professional water testing services are also available.
-
Whole house water filters treat water at the point it enters the home, providing filtered water to every tap. Under-sink filters are installed under the sink and typically filter water for drinking and cooking at that specific location.
-
Our Reverse Osmosis (RO) filtration system is engineered to remove a wide range of contaminants, including salts, fluorides, hormones, and pharmaceuticals. For thorough purification, especially for drinking water, the RO system is the ideal choice.
-
Some filters, such as reverse osmosis systems, can remove minerals along with contaminants. However, many filters, like carbon filters, preserve essential minerals while removing harmful substances.
-
Filtered water is suitable for drinking, cooking, and often for bathing and washing. Whole house systems ensure all water entering your home is filtered.
-
Many water filters reduce the need for bottled water, which is more environmentally friendly. Look for filters certified to meet environmental standards and consider recycling options for cartridges.
-
Hydrogen water is infused with additional hydrogen molecules, which some claim may offer health benefits. It is not typically addressed by standard water filtration systems.
-
Installation difficulty varies by filter type. Faucet-mounted or pitcher filters are generally easy to install DIY. Whole house systems or complex reverse osmosis units often require professional installation.
-
Maintenance usually involves regular filter changes and occasionally cleaning or sanitizing the filter housing. Some systems may require periodic checks or adjustments.
Our Systems
-
A Whole House Filtration system provides a complete solution for purifying water throughout your household, ensuring it remains free from contaminants. Utilising a unique 3-stage filtration process, the system is meticulously designed to target a wide range of impurities, delivering clean and safe water for drinking, cooking, bathing, and other household needs.
Professionally installed at the point of entry by qualified plumbers, the system ensures that all incoming water is thoroughly filtered before reaching every tap and outlet in your home.
-
The filtration process begins by removing larger particles such as dirt, rust, and sediment. This initial stage not only protects subsequent filters but also significantly enhances water clarity. Following this, advanced filtration processes target organic compounds, chlorine, and other chemicals that may affect water taste and odour. These three stages are crucial for improving water quality and ensuring it meets the highest standards for daily use.
The new Hydro-Flow 5-stage cartridge sets a new benchmark in filtration technology, offering an extraordinary 7,300% increase in outer surface area compared to standard cartridges. Manufactured with precision in Japan, its outer layer comprises three layers of high-performance material in a mini-pleated design, rated at just 0.22 microns. This design maximises surface area while safeguarding our dual-layer carbon system, consisting of an outer 5-micron layer and a high-performance 1.0 micron finishing carbon. This meticulous construction guarantees thorough filtration, resulting in exceptionally pure water.
-
For customers seeking the highest level of water purity, many choose to enhance their Whole House Filtration systems with a reverse osmosis (RO) unit. RO employs a semi-permeable membrane to eliminate dissolved solids, heavy metals, PFAS/PFOA, microplastics, and other contaminants not captured by standard filtration stages. This additional step ensures significantly purer water by removing a broad spectrum of potentially harmful substances.
Reverse osmosis is among the most effective water purification methods available for residential and commercial use. It can remove up to 99.9% of fluoride, PFAS, PFOA, chlorine, heavy metals, and other impurities, resulting in cleaner, safer water. Beyond improving taste and odour, RO provides high-quality drinking water by thoroughly eliminating a wide range of contaminants.

At Simply Filtration, we understand that ensuring a clean and healthy water supply for your home or business involves more than just providing high-quality filtration systems. It also requires a seamless installation process by licensed plumbers.
Installation begins with an assessment of your water supply infrastructure. Our experts evaluate the main water line to determine the best integration method for the filtration system.
Our skilled plumbers, experienced in both water supply systems and the technical details of our solutions, integrate the filtration system into your main water line. This ensures that all incoming water is filtered through our multi-stage process, providing clean, freshly filtered water at every tap.
Beyond installation, we provide essential guidance on system functionality. Our team explains the filtration process and shows how to identify when filters need replacement.
Our installation service equips your home with a premium water filtration system and ensures smooth operation. We only consider our job complete when you enjoy superior water quality from every tap.

For whole home water filtration systems, we recommend changing filters every 6 to 12 months. Filter lifespan can vary due to fluctuating chlorine and chemical levels in your water, making precise predictions challenging.
The initial filter can be washed after 6 months. On average, households in Perth or Sydney replace their filters every 9 months. Homes with fewer occupants or lower water usage may find a 12-month interval sufficient, though we advise against exceeding 12 months between replacements.
For Reverse Osmosis (RO) systems, filters should typically be replaced every 12 months, in line with industry standards for non-backwashing filters. RO membranes should be assessed every two years during routine maintenance and can last between 2 to 4 years, depending on water quality.
-
Once your unit is installed, we’ll activate your warranty and add you to our filter change reminder system. About 8 months post-installation, we’ll send you a reminder for filter replacement. If you notice any changes in the taste or smell of your water from 6 months onward, this may signal the need for an earlier change. If you’re unsure, we’re happy to visit and test your filters.
